Traveling with 2 young children

we go to my husband's family house on the lake (a Lake up in Michigan about a 3 hour drive) many times during the summer. We went for the first time this weekend. OMG, first the drive with a potty training 3 year old and a 10 month old.... Crazy. My 3 year old did well, but the 10 month old cried for half of the trip, the half I was driving. Helping Others

Something I have always wondered about. Americans give somewhere around 200 or 300 Billion dollars (my estimate and not backed up by any type of research at all) a year to end a variety of causes (some good, some bad and some just bullshit) yet the causes, cures, fixes never come. Ghetto Casting For the Win!

Well, we're back, more or less. We're now back to doing the show just the way we did the early episodes - on a cheap Behringer mixer, straight into the Line In on the trusty computer.

New episodes should start again later today, though doing live shows is going to be a little tricky. I've got an idea for how we can get back to livecasting, but it's going to involve all manner of trickery with specialized patchcords and an extra computer in the mix.

I'm in Starbucks last night, picking up a couple of overpriced coffees which I use to ward off the worst of Kim's fatigue on the nights that we podcast. She's old, you know, so she tires easily.

Visiting St. Louis, Missouri. I had me some good BBQ at a place called Fat Tony's.
